About me

I’m Stuart — a pedal builder and web developer, always looking for ways to make the pedal-building process a little easier (and a lot more fun). I got into building pedals during the COVID lockdowns — like so many people, I was looking for a hands-on hobby, and pedals quickly became an obsession.

As I spent more time tinkering, I started noticing parts of the workflow that could be improved with a bit of code. That’s when I began building tools to help both myself and other pedal builders simplify their process. My first project, Pedal Projects, is a tool for managing your bill of materials and keeping track of all the parts for your builds. Stompbox Layout is my latest (and 🤞 greatest) project — it lets you create full-size drill templates for your pedal enclosures, so you can build with confidence and consistency every time.

I wanted to put something out there that could genuinely help the pedal-building community — a way to give back to a hobby that’s given me so much enjoyment and inspiration. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I’ve enjoyed building it.
